Florimund’s Rental Policy

This Rental Policy (“Policy”) governs all costume rentals from Florimund’s (“Florimund’s,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), and is intended to supplement, and summarize key points of, our full Terms found at https://florimunds.com/policies/terms-of-service. By placing a rental order, you (“Client,” "Purchaser," and/or “Renter”) agree to those Terms and the Policy below.
1. Refundable Deposit
All rentals require a $100 refundable deposit at the time of booking. The refundable deposit is paid in addition to the rental price and serves as security to ensure timely return and proper care of the costume.
The refundable deposit will be refunded after the rental concludes provided that:
• The costume is returned on time;
• The costume is returned in good condition, reasonable wear excepted; and
• No late fees, damage charges, repair costs, replacement costs, or other charges are incurred.
Florimund’s may apply the refundable deposit toward late fees, repairs, damage, cleaning, replacement, or other costs arising from the rental, up to a maximum of $100. The refundable deposit does not limit the renter’s total financial responsibility.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted prior to the rental start date.
More than fourteen (14) days before the rental start date:
• The refundable deposit is forfeited and non-refundable.
• Any rental fees paid will be refunded.
Fourteen (14) days or fewer before the rental start date:
• All payments, including the refundable deposit and rental fees, are non-refundable.
• The costume will not be shipped.
3. Changes & Rescheduling
Requests to modify or reschedule a booking are handled at Florimund’s discretion and subject to costume availability and operational constraints.
4. Rental Period & Returns
The rental period begins on the delivery date shown in the order confirmation and ends on the return-by date. To avoid late fees and to ensure the costume is available for the next dancer, the return package must be mailed and post-marked by USPS by the end of your rental period.
5. Late Fees
Late returns are subject to a $35 per day late fee, beginning the day after the return-by date.
6. Care, Use, and Handling of Costumes
Costumes may be worn for rehearsal and performance purposes only and may be worn solely by the Renter or an individual under the direct supervision and control of the Renter. Costumes may not be worn by any other individual, lent or rented to a third party, or used for any other purpose.
During the rental period, the renter agrees to exercise reasonable care and take all appropriate measures to protect the costume from damage, staining, or loss.
7. Steaming, Cleaning, and Pressing
Garments may be gently steamed as needed. Ironing is strictly prohibited.
The renter is prohibited from washing, dry-cleaning, spot-cleaning, or applying any stain-removal products without express instruction from Florimund’s. In emergency situations involving blood stains, cold water only may be used, and Florimund’s must be contacted immediately.
8. Alterations
Only temporary, fully reversible alterations are permitted. All alterations must be removed prior to return. Safety pins are prohibited.
9. Damage, Loss, and Replacement
The renter is responsible for the costume from delivery until receipt by Florimund’s. Charges may include repair costs, replacement costs, sourcing or reconstruction expenses, and lost rental value. The refundable deposit does not constitute a cap on the renter's liability.
10. Packing for Return
Costumes must be packed properly with all accessories, garment bags, and headpiece boxes to avoid damage during transit.
11. Sales Tax
New Jersey sales tax is collected automatically for in-state rentals.
12. Social Media
By tagging Florimund’s or submitting content, you grant permission for Florimund’s to repost with credit.
13. Payment Authorization
By completing a booking, the renter authorizes Florimund’s to charge the payment method on file for permitted charges.
14. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
15. Acknowledgment
By completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy and to our full Terms found at https://florimunds.com/policies/terms-of-service. In event of a conflict between our full Terms (including but not limited to our Purchase Terms and Conditions) and the foregoing Policies, the Terms shall control.
